Who we are
Our mission
Sharklab-Malta is a non-profit, voluntary organisation based in Malta dedicated to research, education and raising awareness about elasmobranchs (sharks, rays, skates and chimaera) in Mediterranean waters.
Meet the team
Sharklab-Malta would not be possible without the tireless work of our volunteers. Sharklab-Malta brings together volunteers and interns of all ages to enact the change needed to conserve sharks and rays in Maltese waters.
Get involved
Here at Sharklab-Malta we are always looking for enthusiastic individuals to help us with our mission. Be sure to check our vacancies page for any open volunteer positions, enquire about becoming an intern, or just come along to our events!
Our story
Since our founding in 2008 by Greg Nowell, we have grown as a family and released over 360 baby sharks. Be sure to check out our story to learn about how we have grown and what we have achieved.
