Sharklab-Malta are delighted to support this year’s Tiny Teen Cafes.
The Science Centre, within the Directorate for Learning and Assessment Programmes organises ongoing campaigns to promote the uptake of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) subjects by school students. One new activity, called Teen Science Café involves bringing 10 and 11-year olds closer to professionals who have chosen to take up a STEM-related career successfully.
This year events are being held in a number of schools across Malta and Gozo where parents may also be invited. The students are divided into groups, and rotate between guest speakers in different workshops which last for 30 minutes each.
On day 1 we met 60 students from Xaghar Primary School in Gozo
On day 2 we enjoyed meeting 120 students from St Nicholas College, Middle School, Rabat.
On day 3 we enjoyed meeting 75 students from Lija Primary / St Theresa College.
On day 4 we enjoyed meeting 60 students from Marsaxlokk primary school.
On Tuesday 12th Feb we enjoyed meeting 70 more pupils at Zurrieq Primary school’s Tiny Teen Science Cafe.
